eXp's Referral Division is a solution for inactive licensees who would still like to be a part of eXp.
Agents at eXp's Referral Division:
May not represent clients as an agent, but are eligible to receive referral fees
May still take advantage of some of eXp's benefits
Are not required to be a member of a Realtor association or MLS
eXp's Referral Division part of eXp Commercial, but is available for either residential or commercial agents.
The licenses of agents at eXp's Referral Division are in "referral status", therefore they cannot represent clients (sellers or buyers) as their agent. However, they can send and/or receive referrals to other agents (both eXp and non-eXp), and receive a referral fee.
Splits:
Referrals to eXp agents = 75/25
Referrals to non-eXp agents = 70/30
There is no cap, and there is no ability to earn Icon Status in eXp Referral Division.
In eXp Referral, you may represent yourself on personal transactions; however, you will not have access to the MLS, statewide forms and/or other commonly used tools. We recommend working with an active eXp agent to assist you.
This does not extend to any other family members - only personal transactions where you are a party to the transaction.
The monthly fee at the eXp Referral Division is only $50/month.
Billed automatically each month.
Agents at eXp's Referral Division are not required to be a member of a Realtor association or MLS
Any stock you previously earned in eXp Realty or eXp Commercial will carry over, however you will not earn stock while in eXp Referral Division, nor may you purchase stock at a reduced amount (no Agent Equity Program).
Agents at eXp Referral Division are eligible to recruit other agents to eXp, and participate in eXp's Revenue Share program.
Agents at eXp Referral Division are eligible to participate in eXp's Health Insurance program.

If you are licensed in multiple states, you can be active with eXp Realty in one state, and join eXp Referral Division in another state.
There is no start-up fee or monthly fee for holding your secondary license in the eXp Referral Division.
Your eXp state broker team can assist you with this process.
If you're interested in joining eXp, but aren't quite ready to join, we have a solution that might interest you:
If you’re committed to joining eXp, but aren’t quite ready to move your license, you can submit a request for a Revenue Share Placeholder Addendum (RSPA) to the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA).
The RSPA is literally a "place-holder" for you at eXp while you're preparing to make the transition.
The main benefit of the RSPA is that it allows you to begin recruiting agents to eXp (i.e. build your downline) even before you have officially joined eXp.
For example, if you’re a broker and you want to start moving your agents over before you’re ready to close down your brokerage, you can submit an LOI, and begin moving your agents to eXp while you’re winding things down. You won’t be able to actually receive revenue share from agents you recruit until you yourself join eXp, but you won’t lose the opportunity to bring people in under you while you’re getting your ducks in a row.
Important notes about requesting an RSPA:
In order to get an RSPA, you must submit your application to join eXp, and sign your ICA; however, you won’t transfer your license to eXp yet. Your onboarding will be in “hold” status until you are ready to actually join eXp.
No one (e.g. your current brokerage) is notified that you have submitted your application and a request for an RSPA.
Your monthly fee at eXp does not begin until you officially join eXp (you don’t pay anything during the RSPA period).
The RSPA will be in effect for 90 days - i.e. - you have to transfer your license to eXp within 90 days. Extensions can be granted on a case by case basis.
The request for an RSPA must be submitted immediately after you submit your application to eXp and sign your ICA.
